SHC suspends no-fly list ban on Jibran Nasir, Mansha Pasha

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Thursday suspended the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) notification of a flight ban on social activist Jibran Nasir and his wife Mansha Pasha, ARY News reported. SHC issued directives to FIA on a plea filed by lawyer Jibran Nasir against an “unlawful restriction” on his travel. The court action came after the activist revealed that he was stopped from travelling to Dubai by the FIA last month. CTD shoots down four ‘terrorists’ in Balochistan

QUETTA: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan police shot dead four ‘terrorists’ of a proscribed organization in Pishin, Balochistan, ARY News reported on Tuesday.  According to the spokesperson, a CTD team raided a ‘terrorists’ hideout in Sarkhab, Pishin on the tip of. Seeing the Counter-Terrorism Department personnel, alleged outlaws opened fire and in a retaliatory fire four of the ‘terrorists’ were killed. The killed terrorists were associated with a proscribed organization, who were planning a terror attack. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the killed outlaws. LAHORE: Motorway police on Tuesday returned a lost cellphone worth Rs600,000 to a passenger in Lahore, ARY News reported.  According to the Motorway police spokesperson, a person traveling to Faisalabad from Lahore lost his phone worth Rs600,000 somewhere on the motorway. ISLAMABAD: Special court in Islamabad on Friday granted the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s three-day physical remand in a case pertaining to a diplomatic cipher that reportedly went missing from ex-prime minister Imran Khan’s custody, ARY News reported. Judge Abu Al-Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case against Shah Mahmood Qureshi under Official Secrets Act 2023. At the outset of the hearing, the FIA lawyer pleaded with the court for 9-day physical remand of the former foreign minister for recovery of cipher copy, while Shoaib Shaheen, Qureshi’s lawyer, opposed the request. Later, the court extended the physical remand of Shah Mahmood Qureshi for three days and asked the investigating officer to present Qureshi again on August 28. Karachi woman fights off robbers, foils theft attempt

Police arrest culprit selling drugs to students in Karachi

KARACHI: The law enforcers initiated the crackdown against the drug peddlers involved in the sale of narcotics within the educational institutions and apprehended a suspect, ARY News reported on Saturday. According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Gulshan -Uzair Ahmed – a suspect – identified as Ibrahim – was apprehended who was involved in supplying drugs to students at the Federal Urdu University. It was further revealed that the suspect was found in possession of 2,100 grams of hashish ( Charas ) at the time of his arrest, moreover, the arrest was made on Intelligence-based information. Islamabad: Police on Tuesday informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Iftikhar Durrani is not in their custody, ARY News reported. IHC was hearing a plea against the alleged arrest of Iftikhar Durrani, last week. On the directions of the court, Islamabad police submitted a progress report in the case, stating that Durrani is not in their custody.
