Blast rocks Pashin hospital

QUETTA: At least seven injured in blast occurred at a hospital near Pashin Bypass in Quetta, Balochistan, ARY News reported. According to police officials, the blast caused by a gas cylinder leak, damaged the hospital building, leaving two of injured in critical condition. Sources said that rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene to gather evidence and investigate the matter. The injured individuals are currently under treatment at the hospital. Police and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the gas cylinder leak explosion. Earlier, an explosion in a Punjab-bound passenger bus left a man dead and seven others injured. India will play their three group stage games in Dubai after the BCCI refused to send its team to Pakistan for the tournament. FIA arrests Mauritania land route human smuggler in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The FIA has said that the land route agent in Mauritania, involved in human smuggling has been arrested by its officials. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has disclosed that accused Mubashir Enayat had received 4.7 million rupees from a citizen assuring him a job in Spain. Accused Mubashir sent the man to Senegal from Mauritania on a visit visa, officials stated. “The citizen refused to travel in a boat to Europe,” investigation agency officials said. The FIA has recovered a mobile phone and other evidence from the accused. The agency is conducting raids to arrest other operatives of the human smuggling network, officials added. Seven Pakistani survivors of the recent Morocco boat tragedy have been repatriated to the country. Cop injured in Kurram firing succumbs to injuries

KURRAM: The cop injured during attack on the Assistant Commissioner in Kurram succumbed to his injuries today (Saturday), ARY News reported. As per details, the police officials stated that the injured policeman identified as Syed Ashiq Hussain was admitted in DHQ Parachinar where he succumbed to injuries. Yesterday, Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan of Boshehra, Upper Kurram, was injured in a firing incident by unidentified attackers. The attack occurred in the Bushara area, where Manan was present with law enforcement personnel. He was swiftly taken to a hospital for treatment, and a massive police search operation was launched to apprehend the perpetrators. A joint operation by the district administration, police, and security agencies was conducted in Bagan from January 19 to 21 and recovered large number of illegal weapons.
