KARACHI: Transport Canada, a renowned Canadian security agency, has announced its plans to conduct a comprehensive security audit of Pakistan’s major airports, prior to start operating flights in Pakistan, ARY News reported on Friday. The audit will primarily focus on evaluating the existing security measures in place at the international airports of Pakistan. As a first step, Transport Canada will begin its thorough investigation at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi’s primary aviation hub. Shariat Court strikes down three sections of Transgender Act 2018

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Shariat Court Islamabad on Friday ruled that the sections 2(f), 3 and 7 of the Transgender Act 2018 are against Islamic teachings, ARY News reported. According to the details, the acting Chief Justice Syed Muhammad Anwar and Justice Khadim Hussain of the Federal Shariat Court Islamabad delivered the verdict that sections 2(f), 3 and 7 of the Transgender Act 2018 are against Islamic teachings, while Section 2(n) of the Transgender Act is not contrary to Sharia. As per sharia court verdict, the Islamic teachings do not allow individuals to change their gender at their own will. The verdict further maintained that an individual’s gender shall remain the same as assigned at birth. Meanwhile, Section 7, in particular, has been deemed unlawful as it allowed individuals to determine their gender for the purpose of inheritance. Imran Khan seeks bail in Zille Shah murder case

LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Friday moved Lahore High Court for bail in Zille Shah murder case, ARY News reported. Khan in his plea claimed that the government deliberately nominated him in the Zille Shah murder case. “I have nothing to do with Zille Shah murder case,” the former prime minister added in his plea. Citing security concerns, Imran Khan has pleaded with the LHC to grant him interim bail in the case. According to the investigation report, Zille Shah was hit by a speeding car, when he was walking in the middle of the road. He was rushed to Services Hospital, but could not survive. Meanwhile, PTI claims Ali Bilal aka Zille Shah was murdered in broad daylight and left at the Services Hospital.
