Oman’s SalamAir launches inaugural flight from Muscat to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Oman’s SalamAir has expanded its operation in Pakistan, as first flight from Muscat landed at Islamabad airport on Tuesday morning, ARY News reported, quoting the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Israeli protesters urging Gaza deal block roads

Hamas agrees on talks to free Israeli hostages

Hamas has accepted a U.S. proposal to begin talks on releasing Israeli hostages, including soldiers and men, 16 days after the first phase of an agreement aimed at ending the  Gaza war,  a senior Hamas source said on Saturday. Hamas has dropped a demand that Israel first commit to a permanent ceasefire before signing the agreement, and would allow negotiations to achieve that throughout a first six-week phase, the source told Reuters on condition of anonymity because the talks are private. A Palestinian official close to the internationally mediated peace efforts had said the proposal could lead to a framework agreement if embraced by Israel and would end the nine-month-old war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. PTI Islamabad power show: Court moved against NOC suspension

ISLAMABAD: A contempt plea has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the suspension of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Islamabad power show, ARY News reported. As per details, the plea was filed by the Coordinator of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aein Khanzaada Hussain against the suspension of the NOC for Tarnol Jalsa. The petition urged the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the officials as the NOC was cancelled despite the court order. The petition named the Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Inspector General, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Tarnol, among others, as respondents. According to the petition, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad on July 4 had informed the court that an NOC has been issued to PTI.
