Six killed as car plunges into ditch in Kohistan

KOHISTAN: At least six people were killed while four others sustained injuries as a vehicle in Lower Kohistan veered off the road and fell into a ditch, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

The tragic incident occurred when an ill-fated vehicle heading to Kolai-Palas from Bisham lost control and plunged into a ditch.

The accident resulted in the loss of six lives, while four individuals sustained injuries, rescue officials said.

Soon after the incident, the rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Tehsil Hospital in Patan for further medical treatment.

Furthermore, the police have launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to determine the cause of the accident.

As per the initial police report, the accident occurred due to overspeeding.

Meanwhile, the KP caretaker chief minister took notice of the accident and ordered concerned authorities to ensure medical facilities to the injured.

KP governor also expressed his grief over the incident and directed authorities to provide a detailed report on the incident.

Milk, yogurt prices fixed for Ramazan 2025

The district administration of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has fixed prices for milk and yogurt ahead of Ramazan 2025 to ensure price stability during the holy month. According to the official notification, buffalo milk with 6% fat content will be sold at Rs220 per litre, while buffalo milk with 5pc fat content is priced at Rs190/ litre. Similarly, cow’s milk with 4% fat content will be available for consumers at Rs 190 per litre during Ramazan 2025. For yogurt, A-Plus category will be sold Rs240 per kg, while A category yogurt will be available at Rs210 per kg in Peshawar during Ramazan 2025, the notification read.
