Karachi: Drizzling brings pleasant change in city areas

KARACHI: Late night drizzling in various localities of Karachi brought a pleasant change to the city’s weather, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi will experience cloudy and humid weather conditions with light rainfall or drizzling today, as for clouds cover the city’s sky.
Maximum temperature to remain between 32 to 34 Celsius in the metropolis today, according to the Met Office.
The southwesterly winds are blowing at a speed of 24 km/h.
The Met Office has reported that the humidity level in the air currently stands at 74 percent.
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast another spell of monsoon rain-wind/thundershowers expected to impact large parts of the country.
According to Met Office monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in upper and central parts of the country and a westerly wave is likely to strengthen on 05th August (today).
Heavy rains may generate flash floods in local nullahs and streams of Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buner, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, northeast Punjab and Kashmir from 05th to 07th August, according to the weather forecast.
Heavy falls may cause urban flood in low lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore and Sialkot on 05th to 07th August.
Landslides/mudslides may cause roads closure in the vulnerable hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan Murree, Galliyat and Kashmir during the forecast period.
